An event not to be missed

I will be moderating a panel discussion over the lunch hour on March 9, 2011 called “Defining Legally-Protected Conduct and Other Hot Topics in Retaliation Claims” as part of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Section Annual Mid-Winter Luncheon.  We will have an all-star panel of Laurie Vasichek, Senior Trial Attorney at the  Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; Cynthia Bremer, defense attorney from Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.; and Jim Kaster, plaintiff’s attorney from Nichols Kaster, PLLP.

We had a fun time with this panel last year; hope you can make it this year.  You’ll find all the details here.

Header  Employee retaliation claims are on the rise, government agencies are vigorously enforcing anti-retaliation protections, and the courts are addressing the parameters for such claims. Join our experienced panel for a discussion of how the increased focus on retaliation claims is affecting employment-related charges and lawsuits. Panelists will provide insight into the anatomy and strategies of retaliation claims from the perspective of employees, employers, and enforcement agencies. Jim Kaster also will share his recent experience arguing a retaliation claim before the United States Supreme Court.
